“… the industry needs to embrace its new reality, part of which is influenced by water scarcity, by changing expectations and carving out room for non-golfers.”

Here’s another reality check. According to Global Water Scarcity Trends, by 2025 (in 8 years), 1.8 billion people will experience absolute water scarcity, and 2/3 of the world will be living under water-stressed conditions. By 2030 (in 13 years), almost half the world will live under conditions of high water stress.

For the longest time, we’ve taken water for granted … most of us don’t think of where water comes from … we turn on a tap and water flows. This is changing and communities have to get active in controlling their water supply … including golf courses.

Can brown be the new green? Is water a human right? Unfortunately, some feel more entitled than others … https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pta50HYrdFc&feature=youtu.be
