Our Commitment
Located on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, Grantley Hall is a luxury hotel and wellness retreat. We offer 47 exquisite bedrooms, four indulgent restaurants and three stunning bars. Escape to tranquility in the Three Graces Spa or experience state-of-the-art facilities in the ELITE Luxury Gym. Sustainability was placed at the forefront during the restoration and construction of Grantley Hall, a grade II listed building, and many innovative sustainability solutions have been implemented to minimise the environmental impacts of the business. Grantley Hall's vision is to create a future legacy for all to enjoy.
Grantley Hall is surrounded by beautiful countryside and breathtaking views. In a secluded part of the hotel grounds there is a Japanese garden that dates back to 1910. In fact, it is one of the earliest Japanese gardens in England. The river Skell flows through the grounds of the hotel, which is why many Greylag and Canadian geese bask on the riverbanks and a team of deidcated gardeners work tirelessly to ensure the grounds are splendidly manicured. The hotel is part of The Skell Valley Project between the National Trust and Nidderdale AONB, which aims to slow water flow along the River Skell. The project will improve the landscape, provide more opportunities for people to enjoy the natural and cultural heritage in the local area, and enable the wildlife to thrive in the Skell Valley.
The hotel is family run and its colourful past is filled with a myriad of tales, from Members of Parliament, Artists, Entertainers and Royalty who have all walked through its doors. Preserving this magical place through sustainability is of the utmost importance to keep its legacy alive for future generations to enjoy.
