EarthCheck Certified is an sustainability certification and benchmarking programme for the travel and tourism industry. It uses a science-based approach to help increase efficiencies, maximise guest experience and minimise their environmental footprint. In Europe, Control Union (a Conformity Assessment Body) manages its inspection, auditing and certification.
Properties listed in the NOW Sustainability Reporting Tool are members of the NOW Force for Good.

1. EarthCheck Evaluate is an entry level programme or small lodging companies. After completing a self-assessment on an operator's economic, social and environmental impact, the property will receive an Earth Rating with 1 to 5 globes. An annual independent audit should be scheduled to verify actions and obtain a certification.
