BCorp certified company continuously monitoring their impact through an Environmental Management System based on the ISO 14001 certification. We work closely with them to continuously improve processes and reduce emissions. We have purchased smartknit towels and robes which require less energy, water and chemicals to wash and dry.

2. EarthCheck Certified is the world’s leading environmental certification and benchmarking programme for the travel and tourism industry. It uses a science-based approach to help increase efficiencies, maximise guest experience and minimise their environmental footprint.
To measure its environmental impact, Whatley Manor has been working closely with carbon accounting firm Greenly. In 2024, they recorded a footprint of 907 tonnes in CO2-equivalent emissions, across Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, using the market-based approach. This represents a 14% decrease in emissions since 2023.
Whatley Manor is proud to have achieved EarthCheck Silver Certification, a global standard for sustainability in the travel and tourism industry, for the fourth consecutive year.
